Burnt River families and community,

As we move into May, it’s hard to believe how quickly the school year is coming to a close. This time of year always brings a great deal of energy, excitement, and reflection, and we are so grateful to be experiencing it alongside such a supportive community.

I want to begin by recognizing the incredible turnout and effort during our recent Community Clean-Up Day. The level of involvement from students, staff, families, and community members was truly outstanding. From picking up debris to tackling larger projects, it was a powerful example of what can be accomplished when we work together. More importantly, it showed our students what pride in community looks like in action. Thank you to everyone who gave their time and energy to make it such a meaningful and successful day.

Looking ahead, we are excited to celebrate the important people in our students’ lives with a fun Mother’s Day event. We hope you will join us for this special time to connect and celebrate the families who support our students every day.

May is always one of our busiest months, filled with field trips, activities, our greenhouse sale, graduation, and the last day of school. With so much happening, please be on the lookout for permission slips, schedules, and school communications. Staying connected will help ensure that students don’t miss out on these valuable end-of-year experiences.

Graduation is always a highlight of the year, and we look forward to celebrating the hard work and accomplishments of our seniors as they take their next steps. It is a meaningful time for our entire school community. Our graduation this year is scheduled for Thursday, May 14th at 6:00 pm.  

As we head into these final weeks, our focus remains on finishing strong: academically, socially, and as a community. Thank you, as always, for your continued support, involvement, and partnership.
